    Bronx Bound Books is a community-focused initiative that seeks to bring books to every corner of the Bronx. We operate as a mobile bookstore, and we are launching a kiosk at The Mall at Bay Plaza on October 1st., 2023. Our long-term dream is to open a brick-and-mortar bookstore in the Bronx to fill the gap of the closure of Barnes & Noble years ago at The Mall at Bay Plaza. Our ongoing mission is to promote literacy, diverse voices, and book ownership for all communities.

    Yes, renting our book bus includes readings and activities for kids that parents can model at home.
  • How often does the mobile bookstore operate?
    Our mobile bookstore can operate daily. Our location depends on our existing partnerships, current events, and more. You can check the schedule and location details on our Events page.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
    You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
  • What kind of books do you offer in the mobile bookstore?
    We offer a wide variety of titles, including but not limited to fiction, non-fiction, children's books, and books from authors of color.
  • What can we expect from the upcoming kiosk at The Mall at Bay Plaza?
    Our kiosk will serve as a hub for special events, book signings, and literary discussions. It will extend our existing mission of making books accessible and promoting literacy in the Bronx.

Looking to make a difference by volunteering? We're always looking for more help to facilitate our book donation process, help categorize books, or attend our bookmobile events. 



We welcome donations of new and gently-used books suitable for all age groups, from infants to adults. Our collection spans both fiction and non-fiction genres. Please donate books that you'd be proud to read yourself or share with a child. To maintain the quality of our collection, we kindly ask that you refrain from donating books with foul odors, water damage, scribbling, yellowed pages, or torn covers/pages. We work primarily with Ingram Book Group for customer orders. They are the nation's leading wholesale distributor, servicing both indie bookstores and major retail chains. If your book(s) are distributed by Ingram, then you're in luck! To have your book considered for our shelves, just fill out our Inventory Submission Form. If we're a match, we'll be in touch.

Want to meet our community of book lovers? To be considered for author events at our Bronx Bound Books kiosk or upcoming brick-and-mortar store, fill out our Author Appearance Request Form. We are currently accepting submissions for our Saturday Featured Author Series, where authors can host readings and appearances at our new kiosk at The Mall at Bay Plaza.

We're excited to collaborate with change-makers, from grassroots organizations to Fortune 500 companies. If you're looking to empower your team or community through literature, we've got your back!
