Born from a dream to foster a love for reading in the Bronx, Bronx Bound Books started as a humble bookmobile. In the wake of Barnes & Noble's departure from the Mall at Bay Plaza, a stark void in book access was left in the Bronx. This ignited a drive in us to fill that gap - not just to replace what was lost, but to reimagine it. Bronx Bound Books was born with a steadfast mission: to increase book ownership and keep the joy of reading alive in every corner of the Bronx and beyond. From these beginnings, our dream has grown. Today, we're a bookmobile and a community bookshop, highlighting diverse stories and narratives that represent our community's experiences. We're now on a path to establishing our very own brick-and-mortar bookstore, in the hopes of creating a permanent literary hub for our community to gather.
